CMP Consortium

Corporate History

The Article Management Promotion Consortium (JAMP), the predecessor organization of the CMP Consortium, was established in September 2006 as a cross-industry organization to promote collaborative activities. It was founded by 17 companies that shared the recognition that, in order to enhance industrial competitiveness, it is essential to establish and disseminate concrete mechanisms for appropriately managing information on chemical substances and other materials contained in articles (a collective term for components, molded products, etc.) and for smoothly disclosing and communicating such information throughout the supply chain.
In October 2025, JAMP was integrated into the CMP Consortium in a manner that inherits and further develops its activities, and it continues its operations under a new organizational framework.
